We are looking for:
A Process Engineering Student to support our Process Technology R&I team on the development of new surfactant and natural polymer molecules and the development of our internal lab capabilities. This position is located in the Technology Center team of the Bristol Research & Innovation Centre. The Research and Innovation (R&I) teams within this Business Unit support the business in new growing opportunities by developing sustainable chemistries and processes that create value.
We count on you to :
- Understand and respect all Syensqo Bristol site safety rules.
- Proactively support the development of new process lab tools in different unit operations (chemical reaction engineering, mixing, liquid/solid separation, solid handling, …)
- Analyze lab data
- Perform basic literature researches
- SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and follow key Syensqo safety policies and procedures for the site, including but not limited to the following:
- Emergency response / Crisis management / evacuation guidelines
- Visitor Safety Policy
- Housekeeping
- Know the location of first aid and emergency response equipment, chemicals, and chemical documentation.
You will bring:
- Theoretical & practical knowledge on chemical reaction engineering, liquid/solid separation and solid characterization is preferred
- Experience and/or interest in 1) modeling (Aspen...), 2) advanced statistical analysis
- Interest in Research and Innovation, in new developments and new lab set-ups
- Curiosity, proactivity and open-mindedness
You will get:

- the opportunity to interact with the different research teams in several scientific domains (e.g., microbiology, analytical, process safety,...)
- development of your knowledge on methodology for product development from the laboratory to the industrial scale
