SBC Senior System Engineer

<p>We are seeking a Senior SBC System Engineer / IMS Architect to join our R&amp;D organization.<br/>In this role, the selected candidate(s) will collaborate closely with Nokia R&amp;D stakeholders—including the CTO, systems engineers and architects from other IMS products, product owners, and software engineers—as well as product line managers (PLMs) and customer support teams. The primary focus will be to define, design, and deliver SBC product capabilities tailored for both telecom and enterprise markets.</p> <ul><li>Definition of SBC product and/or IMS solution level requirements to respond to new market needs, with primary focus on Session Border Controller (signaling plane or media plane).</li><li>Cooperation with Product Manager, Product Architect, Systems Engineers, Solution architects, CTO and Development Teams on defining product roadmap, feature / requirements definitions and backlog prioritization.</li><li>Identification of product gaps and weaknesses toward standards &amp; competition, addressing them into enhancements/ roadmap.</li><li>Supporting design, implementation, test, sales and maintenance of product with the relevant teams.</li><li>Documenting and presenting product capabilities internally and externally (documentation/ publications and presentations). </li><li>Cross-sharing technology &amp; product knowledge among various project team members. </li><li>Representing Nokia R&amp;D internally and externally.</li></ul> <p>You Have:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is minimum required.  Candidate´s with degree in computer science and / or telecom will be more relevant. Master’s degree is a plus.</li><li>At least 8-10 years of professional experience including system / solutions engineering in IMS domain.</li><li>Previous experience in software design, software development and/or testing in an R&amp;D or similar organization.</li><li>Good knowledge of Session Border Controller product(s) (control plane and media plane), their functions, components, interfaces.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of IMS architecture and SBC applicable use cases.</li><li>In-depth knowledge in VoIP and VoLTE architecture, entities, use cases.</li><li>3GPP and IETF standards knowledge applicable to SBC signaling &amp; media services and networking.</li><li>Experience and strong knowledge related to signaling plane: SIP, H.248, Lawful Interception, Diameter, HTTP(S), SIPREC, IPsec, TLS.</li><li>Experience and strong knowledge related to media plane: H.248, MSRP(S), (S)RTP, RTCP, UDPTL, DTLS, TLS, DTMF, SIGTRAN, transcoding (audio, fax, video) including TrFO, MOS, DSP</li></ul><p> </p><p>It would be nice if you also had:</p><ul><li>Experience and strong knowledge related to OAM interfaces (CM, FM, PM): HTTP(S), SSH, (S)FTP, SNMP, NETCONF, RESTCONF.</li><li>Good understanding of cloud, cloud native principles, microservices.</li><li>Good knowledge of system performance, capacity and  overload control  aspects.</li><li>Experience with Kubernetes, Openshift, AWS, Azure, Openstack, VMware clouds, Software Defined Networking.</li><li>Data analytics skills, understanding of Machine Learning technologies &amp; methods would be a plus.</li></ul> <p></p> <b>Advancing connectivity to secure a brighter world.</b> <p><span>Nokia is a global leader in connectivity for the AI era.
