THE PLAYER
The Food Expeditor position is responsible for effectively inspecting and properly traying up food according to the finished ticket posted by the kitchen. The food expeditor serves as the communicator between the servers and kitchen staff for any modifications, special orders and any overlooked items that require priority. The expeditor maintains organization and order at the expo window throughout service.
EVERY DAY, YOU WILL
- Have full knowledge of what all entrees look like when plated properly and work with kitchen staff to make corrections when necessary.
- Ensure proper garnishes are part of each plate before sending out to the table.
- Plate all trays according to the ticket, starting at twelve o’clock with the first plate and working clockwise.
- For appetizers or any item “out first”, include side plates for the number of guests on the ticket.
- Ensure all plates are wiped down and presentable for guests.
- Always maintain a clean and organized expo window, clearing a full bus tub or any dirty plates
- Be familiar with all table/countertop/bar numbers plus seat numbers.
- Confide in management if problems with co-workers or guests arise so that appropriate actions can be taken.
- Arrive promptly and in full uniform for all scheduled shifts, including mandatory meetings.
- Follow and abide by all policies written in the employee handbook.
- Respect all co-workers and managers.
- Protect establishment, patrons and co-workers by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Create a pleasurable dining experience for all guests.

Requirements

- Basic math skills required, legible handwriting, teamwork, verbal communication, strong customer service and oral communication skills
Protective Clothing Required: Non-slip shoes
YOU MUST ALSO HAVE
