Concrete Dispatcher

Description

 The Concrete Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with on-time and safe delivery of products while exercising discretionary decision-making authority with minimal oversight. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Answers incoming calls and communications.

· Assist customers with concrete order needs and enters details in the CommandData system.

· Coordinate schedules and deliveries of truck drivers with customers.

· Determine route-planning to minimize fuel costs and maximize profits.

· Provide daily direction and order details to the batch room employee.

· Assess and solve issues with timing, productivity, safety, and customer dissatisfaction.

· Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and state weight limitations.

· Maintain knowledge of concrete mixtures and chemicals.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Concrete industry experience preferred. 

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

• Basic mathematical skills. 

• Detail-orientated. 

• Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes.

• Strong leadership skills to ensure drivers compliance with direction and assignments.

• Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure.

• Basic understanding of geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing.

• ACI Level 1 certification preferred.

• Ready Mix Driving expierence prefered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Concrete industry experience preferred.
