Description
This is a full-time, benefited position working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Scripps Coastal Medical Center Eastlake in Chula Vista.

- Locations/days will vary depending on space availability as the provider will be working to backfill open space.

Your job duties:
- Assist OBGYN department clinically
- Support the team with front office responsibilities (answering phones, scheduling, and call backs when needed)
- Support Providers by checking patient vitals, rooming, stocking patient rooms, and assisting with procedures such as colposcopies, LEEPs, biopsies, and also educating patients
- The ideal candidate will be someone with previous experience working as a Medical Assistant, and has experience delivering exceptional patient care in an OBGYN department.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills:
- One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting
- OBGYN clinic experience
- Experience with scheduling appointments
- Experience assisting with procedures
- Back office MA experience
- Experience with insurance authorizations
