Business Unit Description:
Job Title/High-Level Position Summary: As a skilled Prototype Machinist with CNC programming experience you will support the development and production of custom additive manufactured medical device components. This role focuses on precision machining of titanium parts produced through additive manufacturing processes, supporting rapid prototyping, process development, and low-volume production in a highly regulated medical device environment.You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and efficient availability of materials to meet patient and healthcare provider needs. You will be responsible for production, managing inventory levels, and overseeing machine operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine titanium components produced via additive manufacturing into finished medical device parts.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAM software for complex geometries and tight tolerances.
- Set up and operate 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC mills and lathes for prototype and short-run production.
- Perform precision finishing operations including milling, drilling, tapping, and surface finishing of additively manufactured parts.
