Summary
Managing and support the District Service and Parts Manager’s efforts relative to service support and aftermarket sales. Provide input to the Parts Marketing group regarding new programs, promotions or product positions that will add continued aftermarket revenue growth. Responsible for the day to day development and service and sales efforts of the District Service and Parts Manager (DSPMs). Assist Major and National account management as needed to maintain customer retention and achieve the highest levels of after-market penetration. Assist call center management in resolving retailer and customer issues that require DS&PM involvement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, assist, and support District Service and Parts Managers (DSPM) in aftermarket sales and service activities in Latin America.
- Plan and approve DSPM travel schedules making the most effective use of company resources to achieve key corporate objectives.
- Establish DSPM goals and reviewing progress with each team member.
- Lead and facilitate annual team summit meetings to bring high level updates to the team on goals, objectives and strategic vision.
- Responsible for oversight and execution of Aftermarket Strategic Plan tactics.
- Provide input and assist Marketing Department in developing and promoting parts marketing programs that will increase the company’s aftermarket revenue opportunities.
- Facilitate the Aftermarket Sales & Product Training class.
- Present aftermarket programs, tools and services to customers and retail network.
- Responsible for oversight of each team members Service Market Awareness metrics.
- Review aftermarket revenue and past sales performance with forecasted expectations.
- Track corporate financial performance, identify variances and collaborate appropriate actions needed to increase aftermarket sales revenue.
- Provide end of year summary of team performance to the Director of Aftermarket Sales and Field Support.
- Monitor and ensure sales reporting is accurate and timely.
- Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews. Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities. Train and develop direct reports to prepare them for future advancement opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-7 years related experience
- Associate degree (Business, Engineering or Technical)
Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
- Extensive travel (over 20%)
- Extensive overnight stays (over 20%)
- Job requires employee to drive a lift truck
- Valid Passport
- Bilingual (English/Spanish both written and verbal) required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, (under minimum) Understanding of the company’s service and parts operations.
