$95,846.00 - $126,630.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:In an inpatient setting, provides direct support to leadership and is accountable for daily operations. Participates in the management of human resources, career sculpting, mentoring, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes. Accountable for supporting standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. Involved in activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action, effective communication, and the facilitation of others. Participates in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's viability and future.
FT position available: Day/Evening/Night position, including holidays, weekends, and administrative call per unit policy.
Exciting leadership opportunity! We are seeking a self-motivated, results-driven individual to join our team as a Senior Assistant Nurse Manager in the Pediatric Operating Room (OR). This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the Nurse Manager to provide direct operational support to the unit while working closely with interdisciplinary teams, including surgery and anesthesia. The Senior Assistant Nurse Manager will participate in managing human resources, career sculpting, mentoring, and the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies. They will also monitor patient and quality outcomes and oversee quality improvement activities. The Senior Assistant Nurse Manager will also represent the unit on institutional committees as requested and provide leadership and accountability for adherence to ICARE values and UR/Strong policies and procedures. Additionally, they will support a positive work environment, model professional behavior, and cover and fill in for the Nurse Manager during their absence. In this role, they will also engage in community and professional organizations to promote nursing’s visibility and future. Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), active New York State RN license in good standing, minimum of 3-5 years of recent Pediatric OR experience, at least 2 years of Pediatric OR leadership experience, and current Certified Nurse of the Operating Room (CNOR) certification. Preferred qualifications include experience in staff development, recognition, and retention, familiarity with quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety strategies.
