Job Description
As one of the first programs of its kind in the U.S., the BMT program at MSK, recently celebrating 50 years of providing bone marrow transplants, has always been at the forefront of BMT research as well as the care of patients undergoing bone marrow transplants. To help us continue our work on behalf of these patients, we are seeking a Program Manager to coordinate and lead our growing donor search program, along with oversight of our Transplant Service Coordinator team! This role will report to the Associate Director of Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy, and will provide support for both Adult and Pediatric programs.

You will:
- Independently lead and coordinate the MSKCC Unrelated and Related Donor Program, including supervision of Program Coordinator and Transplant Service Coordinator staff and ensuring efficient and financially sound operations.
- Analyze HLA results for the purpose of running a donor search and establishing a search strategy and be the point person for HLA-related requests and questions.
- Manage the NMDP/NYBC financial aspects, including billing and tracking all donor search costs and invoicing to the Marrow Foundation for grant coverage.
- Lead the donor and umbilical cord blood search and recruitment process and central scheduling of the program.
- Coordinate central organization of patient and donor collections and infusions for the programs, in alignment with apheresis and laboratory teams.
- Act as a primary contact for patients, external and MSKCC physicians, the American Red Cross HLA laboratory, Be The Match Registry, ® Case Management department, domestic and international donor centers and transplant centers, and insurance companies.
- Maintain databases of patient information and keep all documentation and reports in good standing according to registry requirements.
You have:
- 4-6 years of related experience with solid understanding of bone marrow transplant field.
- Experience with donor recruitment process and registries strongly preferred.
- Proven success in mentoring and devloping a team of highly motivated and committed individuals.
- Proficiency with data management software.
Please note this is a hybrid role that requires flexibility to be onsite as needed.
