We are seeking a <strong>detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant</strong> with strong <strong>medical and surgery</strong> knowledge and a passion for supporting both patients and providers in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.</p>

<h3><strong>Position Summary</strong></h3>
<p>The Certified Medical Assistant will perform patient care duties under the direction of the physician or Advanced Practice Provider in an outpatient surgical environment. This role requires solid knowledge of <strong>medical terminology, procedures, and surgeries</strong>, along with exceptional attention to detail.</p>

<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist physicians and providers during examinations and surgical procedures</li>
<li>Prepare patients for exams and procedures</li>
<li>Collect and document patient histories, vitals, and clinical data</li>
<li>Administer routine treatments and approved medications per provider direction</li>
<li>Enter medication, lab, and diagnostic orders into the electronic medical record</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical policies</li>
<li>Coordinate scheduling for specialty testing and consultations</li>
<li>Communicate professionally with patients, families, and practice staff</li>
<li>Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements</li>
<li>Support front office functions as needed (scheduling, patient flow, discharge)</li>
</ul>

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program </li>
<li><strong>1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred</strong></li>
<li><strong>Surgery experience is preferred</strong></li>
<li>Strong knowledge of:
<ul>
<li>Medical terminology</li>
<li>Clinical procedures and surgeries</li>
<li>Ambulatory or surgical practice workflows</li>
</ul></li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Licensure & Certification</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Active <strong>Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)</strong> or equivalent national MA certification (AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, etc.)</li>
<li>Current <strong>BLS (CPR) certification</strong></li>
</ul>
