Job Title: Product Development Specialist

Ā 

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team. The Product Development Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating trials and product development projects across the company. This role involves tracking the progress of trials, providing status updates and reports to management, and ensuring smooth execution of crop management plans. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including management, sales, and product development staff, to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trial & Product Development Management:
    • Organize, distribute, and track the progress of trials and product development projects company-wide.
    • Provide detailed progress reports and results to management.
    • Request trial seed and manage the inventory, ensuring accuracy and availability for projects.
    • Prepare and distribute trial materials, ensuring alignment with crop management plan objectives.
    • Maintain a comprehensive database of trial seed, tracking receipt, distribution, and inventory levels.
  • Trial Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Follow up on trials, documenting progress and results to ensure accuracy.
    • Process trial reports and distribute them to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    • Coordinate and track progress for supplier incentive programs, submitting required reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Industry Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals and university contacts to stay informed on emerging trends and new product developments.
    • Create and deliver presentations during customer meetings, trade shows, and other industry events.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience & Knowledge:
    • Typically requires 1-2 years of agriculture-related experience.
    • Strong understanding of agriculture practices and product development processes.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Proven skills in collaboration, communication, business knowledge, and decision-making.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independentl
