Hiring Range: $67,000 - $85,000, based on qualifications and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Clinician III (Fully Licensed Therapist) provides and coordinates clinical services for an assigned caseload within Pathways of Life Recovery Services’ (PLRS) Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) programs. This role delivers individual and group therapy, conducts comprehensive assessments, and develops and implements individualized, evidence-based treatment and discharge plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team. The Clinician III (Fully Licensed Therapist) maintains ownership of clinical services and aftercare planning for their caseload, ensuring continuity of care and effective coordination with internal staff and external providers to support positive client outcomes. This role completes all required clinical documentation in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner in accordance with organizational standards, Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), DORA, Medicaid, and payer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Services

• Maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 25 clients and conduct comprehensive, complex assessments.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate therapeutic group sessions using evidence-based approaches.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans, including coordination of aftercare services to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor client progress on an ongoing basis, adjusting interventions to address evolving clinical needs and risk factors.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and risk assessment as needed to ensure client safety.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure all clinical documentation, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes, is completed in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner in accordance with EHR requirements, DORA, HIPAA, Medicaid, and applicable payer guidelines.
• Maintain adherence to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards in clinical practice.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and support continuous improvement of clinical services.

Collaboration & Support

• Coordinate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure high quality, integrated client care.
• Provide clinical consultation and guidance to Clinician I and II staff as needed, serving as a resource in areas of clinical expertise.
• Maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards in all client interactions.
• Contribute to clinical initiatives, trainings, or program development efforts as assigned.
• Provide clinical support to other PLRS locations as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in counseling or an equivalent field as determined by DORA.
• Registered with DORA as a fully licensed psychotherapist in the state of Colorado (e.g. LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC).
• Training, experience or credentialling in addiction counseling or willingness to complete additional addiction credentialing within one year of hire.
• Ability to obtain malpractice insurance at hire.
• Experience providing clinical consultation, mentorship, or advanced clinical support preferred.
• Excellent documentation, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to receive and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current Colorado driver’s license and ability to meet Recovery Services LLC driving insurance standards as travel may be required.
• Ability to satisfy background check requirements in accordance with Recovery LLC policy.
• Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith and Apostles Creed, expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct.
