Our Calhoun location (in Tennessee) is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Maintenance Tecnician.  You will be responsible to provide safe operation of your assigned mill equipment, to work in a safe and productive manner, and to maximize quality and production while minimizing unscheduled downtime.

Our Calhoun location (Tennessee) is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Mechanical Maintenance Technician. You will be responsible to provide safe operation of your assigned mill equipment to work in a safe and productive manner to maximize quality and production while minimizing unscheduled downtime.

Your responsibilities:

A journey-level Millwright/Machine Repairer and must be qualified to, and will be required to demonstrate, proficiency in all the following:

• Maintains on all types of gears, bearings and seals and the application of each.
• Sets and aligns such equipment as (but not limited to) pumps, gearboxes, etc.  Skilled in the use of mechanical, electrical, and optical instruments used to perform the various alignment requirements.
• Reads and makes material takeoffs from blueprints, performs layout work as required.  Use sketches and blueprints for field work.  Understands and utilizes the computer to order parts, materials, and equipment.
• Experienced in the utilization of various types of lifting, pulling, and carrying devices such as, but not limited to, cranes (fixed and mobile), chain falls, come-a-longs, pull lifts, etc. and experienced in performing the necessary rigging to perform the lifting, pulling, carrying, etc.
• Rebuilds: Pumps, Reducers, Air Compressors, Screens, Conveyors, Airveyors, Gearboxes, etc.
• Installs and connects various types of piping.
• Perform the replacement, alignment, and tension adjustment of all types of drive belts associated with the operation of Company equipment.
• Must have the capability of using various types of measuring instruments, necessary to perform and check the work. Must have a working knowledge of the principles and troubleshooting techniques of hydraulic systems and pumps.
• Uses various welding and burning techniques.
• Uses lubricant grading system,
• Possess a good working knowledge of balancing and its application to various types of paper making equipment.
• Possess a good working knowledge of Millwriting, Machining, Welding and/or Pipefitting.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts (Dupont/Southern Swing Schedule) or M-F day-shift hours along with overtime and/or weekends as needed
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
