Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Financial Institution Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a prominent financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and communication, building trust with those you interact with daily. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, including responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any suspicious behavior or situations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and/or restricted areas as directed, helping to control access to sensitive areas within the location.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and/or the public to provide assistance and information as needed, while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
• Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
