Your Responsibilities
As a Staff Vehicle Software Systems Engineer for John Deere in East Moline, IL, you will:
- Provide technical leadership to international/distributed software engineering teams to deliver high quality software that adheres to product timelines;
- Define division-wide new product capabilities that need to be delivered to market and lead the solution development efforts and functionality prioritization with stakeholders;
- Design and develop new product software application prototypes and conduct complex analysis;
- Leads in resolution of difficult technical issues across a division whether within the company to marketing, manufacturing, quality, and supply management organizations or with outside suppliers;
- Develop and/or execute test or analysis plan for product verification and validation.
- Up to 25% remote work allowed. Up to 20% domestic and international travel required.
What Skills You Need
- 5 years of experience working with embedded controller software on Agriculture equipment
- 7 years of experience in technical experience relating to design/diagnostics/troubleshooting of Electrical and Software subsystems or Precision Ag technology
- 5 years of experience in analyze and develop Embedded Systems and Software requirements for Agriculture equipment
- 7 years of experience developing software in embedded controllers using C and MATLAB/Simulink
- 5 years of experience in implementation, analysis, and diagnostics experience of CAN systems with CAN tools like CANalyzer
- 5 years of experience in product test and analysis experience focused on Model-In-Loop, Software-In-Loop, Hardware-In-Loop
- 5 years of experience in product test and analysis experience of Vehicle Testing on Agriculture equipment
- 3 years of experience in software project management, creating and executing comprehensive software delivery plans across multiple domains to meet specific milestones
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 7 years related experience.
