The Role

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security & Risk team member. The ideal candidate will be working closely with multiple internal and external teams. This role requires clear and concise communications to explain risks to the business and aid in creating practical and innovative solutions to handle the risks.

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute an enterprise risk management program to identify and manage financial, security, technology, personnel, and operational risks that may affect Akoya’s business.
• Perform enterprise risk assessments and create status reports of risk mitigation efforts.
• Perform quarterly internal audits to identify gaps between Akoya’s policies and implemented controls.
• Coordinate the execution of third-party penetration tests and vulnerability scans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to track and report Akoya’s vulnerability remediation and patch management efforts.
• Manage Akoya’s SOC 2 compliance efforts by responding to inquiries from external auditors.
• Perform risk assessments of Akoya’s suppliers and business partners to identify potential risks they may pose to Akoya.
• Respond to due diligence inquiries from Akoya’s investors.
• Product risk assessments of software and SaaS solutions to identify risks that may affect Akoya.
• Deliver security awareness education to all members of Akoya’s workforce.
• Manage Akoya’s security policies to ensure that they are reviewed, updated, approved, and distributed to all employees.

Required Experience/Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in information security and/or risk management
• 2+ years’ experience as a senior or lead risk analyst
• Experience in risk management, information security, and data privacy functions
• Knowledge of NIST and COSO risk frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills. Familiarity with the Agile framework is a plus.
• Demonstrable innovative thinking and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 per year.  The actual base pay offered may take into account the candidate's work location, relevant education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
