Warehouse Manager

General Job Description:

This role is primarily responsible for the management of all warehousing and tool crib functions including equipment inventory level control, shipping and receiving, facility safety protocols and, it’s supporting staff to ensure fulfillment of all requests. 

Supervises: Warehouse staff

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage workload of assigned reports.
• Manage all warehouse and tool logistics including the documentation of all inbound and outbound equipment and materials.
• Process all incoming equipment/materials/inventory/tools in a timely manner maintaining any max/min quantities.
• Ensure incoming equipment/materials is validated to match documentation. If needed un-package to verify and re-package in a manner suitable for shipment.
• Proactively notify impacted personnel or customers of discrepancies during validation of product and any back orders, date changes or damages.
• Coordinate with local construction operations departments for combined deliveries and pick-ups.
• Provide flexible delivery service of equipment/materials to project construction sites for unexpected customer requests.
• Ensures the proper use and implementation of internal processes (software, labeling, tracking) for all warehouse functions and related business units.
• Provide back up support for other departments sharing the facility as needed to help fulfill requests.
• Maintain a well-organized facility by utilizing all designated area’s as intended and keep labeling and markings clear and legible.
• Responsible for ensuring all Safety and in-house cleaning protocols are followed and up to date; the facility and yard should be clean and clear of all debris and tripping hazards.
• Utilize tool manufactures programs on tool repair, warranty, rebates and replacements.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management

Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or equivalent experience is preferred
• Strong background in managing inventory, shipping and receiving, warehouse processes and the concept of integrated supply, cost savings and supply chain management is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing equipment is preferred
• Familiar with operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment 
• Familiarity with MS Office products (JDE, Smartsheet, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Familiar with Google Suite (Gmail, drive, calendar)
• Excellent communication skills – ability to have an open line of communication with employees throughout the organization; demonstrate good communication skills, including phone and email etiquette.
• Ability to give clear understandable direction to others
• Ability to work at a hectic pace and remain professional and courteous
