We are currently seeking a full-time Foodservice National Account Manager to join our Energy Efficiency (EE) team to support our foodservice equipment utility rebate programs. As a member of the Energy Efficiency foodservice team, you will support supply chain engagement with our midstream commercial foodservice programs (Instant Rebates), which aim to influence the stocking and sales of high-efficiency equipment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of organizational relationships with commercial foodservice manufacturers, distributors, dealers, retailers, and large end-users (regional and national accounts) to promote Instant Rebates Programs
- Enrolling eligible accounts in programs, and working closely with them to facilitate and maximize rebate claim submittal
- Identify barriers to enrollment and claim submittal and work with team to overcome barriers
- Contribute to outreach plans for new programs (program launch) and existing programs
- Develop reports and leverage data from various sources to determine where programs and account managers need to focus outreach efforts to maximize participation and meet client goals
- Provide knowledge about foodservice equipment market activity, trends, and products to program managers and clients
- Collaborate effectively and serve as resource and conduit between program leads, the market, and Energy Solutions’ Outreach & Trade Ally Team
- Review program-level statistics, market and economic data, and regulatory activity to determine sales potential and monitor performance trends; provide recommendations to and strategies to improve program performance and increase claim activity
- Work with large data sets to review equipment for program eligibility and format data for effective submittal as rebate claims
- Travel to foodservice industry shows, industry events and trade ally/market actor locations across the U.S. with the goal of driving program performance, building rapport, and solidifying connection(s)
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred ideally in an energy-related, environmental policy, environmental studies, engineering or business administration discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience or tenure in related position(s) with Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 7 years of work experience or tenure in a related position(s) in lieu of Bachelor's degree
- Strong communication skills including comfort and interest in foodservice equipment dealer outreach and engagement
- Proven ability to interact professionally with clients and present in primary role
- Ability to build relationships with foodservice market actors and be comfortable through phone calls, zoom and face to face meetings
- Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to anticipate risk and develop and implement effective account management outreach strategies
- Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce (or other customer relationship management software)
- Ability to work and thrive independently
- Willingness to conduct frequent business travel regionally (predominantly day trips) and occasional overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and fluency with the utility energy efficiency incentive programs
- Strong account management experience, developing, maturing, and managing large complex accounts and proven track record of success and wins in account management.
- Experience in foodservice business and market
- Understanding of foodservice equipment supply chain, market actors, drivers, barriers, and methods of engagement to drive program participation highly valued.
- Established relationships with a variety of foodservice market actors in a sales or account management role, such as equipment manufacturers, distributors, dealers, chain restaurants, etc.
