Designer

What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. The challenges are exciting and the possibilities endless – as you contribute your skills in a vibrant, customer- and people-centric culture that celebrates you as a valuable member of the team.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

As the Associate, Designer, you will play a key role in developing premium collections that fuse elevated fashion with sports culture. You’ll collaborate with the design team to create cutting-edge apparel designs and impactful graphics, including logos, prints, and embellishments. Your work will contribute to shaping the brand’s identity, ensuring each product captures high quality, style, and cultural relevance. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of sports-inspired apparel, and the ability to merge style, functionality, and storytelling in both apparel and graphic design.

  • Collaborate with the design team to create premium sports-inspired collections, including performance, lifestyle, and streetwear pieces.
  • Research emerging trends, consumer insights, and competitors to develop fresh, innovative designs.
  • Develop and refine sketches, CADs, and prototypes under the guidance of the Creative Director.
  • Prepare detailed technical packages, including sketches, fabrications, trims, and construction details, to ensure a smooth product development process.
  • Participate in fittings and design reviews, providing feedback and making adjustments to improve garment functionality, fit, and aesthetics.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development, sourcing, and production, to bring designs to market with precision and quality.
  • Maintain the design library, tracking seasonal updates, fabric swatches, and samples to stay organized and on schedule.
  • Contribute to creating compelling presentation materials, including mood boards, design decks, and line sheets, to communicate concepts and seasonal stories.
  • Create detailed sketches, CADs, and tech packs with precise specifications for fabric, trims, and construction.
  • Create artwork that reflects premium aesthetic while resonating with sports culture and team branding.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of brand aesthetics and ensure graphics align with seasonal storytelling and themes.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork and collaborate with vendors to ensure high-quality execution.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented
  • Accessories expereince preferred, preferably socks or handbags.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative
  • Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising; ability to sketch
  • Highly proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator, CAD and Mac Computers
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Accessories Design
  • 3-5 years experience in accessories design
