Position Summary/ Department Summary: Child Life Assistant Inpatient Surgical (Per diem) - Organizes and facilitates play programs and activities to meet individual and group needs. Develops and maintains supportive relationships within therapeutic boundaries with patients and families. When needed escalates observations and interactions to the child life specialist. Assists in purchasing, restocking, and maintaining supplies for Child Life Programming. Maintains appropriate infection prevention and control and safety standards for patient care needs. With direction from child life specialists, assists in delegating routine tasks to assigned volunteers.

Minimum Qualifications Education: High-school or GED diploma

Experience: Preferred experience early childhood education experience
