About the role

Mission
The Price Senior Manager optimizes the pricing strategies to enhance revenue and ensure
profitability for the organization. This role utilizes market analysis and cross functional
collaboration to set and manage the pricing structure and create alignment with overall
business objectives. The contributions from this role will influence the financial performance
through data driven pricing strategies. The Price Senior Manager is accountable for the
execution and measurement of pricing actions and strategies. The position will use
qualitative and quantitative techniques to help Calderys determine and set prices and
achieve revenue goals.

Responsibilities
The Price Senior Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining pricing strategies
and creating data driven dashboards to track key metrics. With strategic insights and
expertise this role will contribute to optimizing profitability. The Price Senior Manager
supports the pricing actions and strategies of Calderys EMEA while monitoring its outcome
such as Price / Volume sensitivity :

Price Corridor Preparation

  • Partnering with senior leadership to establish annual price targets and actionable
    KPIs
  • Monitor possible Price Indexation of current product portfolio (Costing from SQV2)
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of BI data and Pricing Model
  • Ensure coherence of products recommended prices (e.g. by Raw Materials category,
    products family, etc. together with Marketing or Product Line Managers)
  • Collaborating with field sales, marketing, and finance regarding customer pricing and
    profitability
  • Prepare key elements of the sales pitch to negotiate new prices

Price Corridor setting

  • Develop clear strategy regarding pricing levers and model recommendations
  • Maintain and execute pricing strategies that align with the companies’ objectives, in
    light of market trends, competitors positioning and customer behavior
  • Define Price Corridors for existing and new products
  • Continuous improvements of the Pricing stucture and parameters and ensure that
    technology is optimized to serve the needs of the business
  • Monitor and maintain key data feeds and inputs required to drive pricing engine –
    including relevant competitors info, win/loss analysis to ensure pricing strategies are
    optimal to win profitable business.

Price Attainment and follow-up

  • Support the allocation of detailed and specific Price Targets – in line with Annual
    Price Target (on the basis of Price/product/volume mix forecast)
  • Provide input and guidance into key account pricing and large bids
  • Support the forecast of Price implementation (in the form of a Negotiation Price
    tracker)
  • Enforce DoA policy for pricing processes across the organization
  • Analyse and guide Price Implementation performance in light of agreed KPIs:
    Generate, maintain, analyze, and distribute key business reports and dashboards to
    track key pricing sales and financial metrics ;
  • Analyze profitability trends across sites and customers to identify potential issues
    and improvement opportunities
  • Provide monthly and quarterly results and key findings to the relevant stakeholders;
  • Monitor and Price Attainment and related CIP achievement

Governance Routine :

  • Gather feedback and learnings to support and participate in monthly cross-
    functional call to review actions, best practices, and discuss challenges
  • Price Council Preparation, review and follow-up
  • Travel: The role includes approximately 5% (international) travel
     

Requirements

  • Min. 3+ years of experience in pricing strategy and analysis, ideally within a multinational
    corporate environment
  • Min. 3+ years of experience in a commercial role in a multinational company
  • Financial knowledge for profit and loss and margin/price decision making.
  • Proven experience in various pricing strategies and analyses or related roles.
  • Driven decisions based on analytics to expand margin
  • Built and led a team focused on price or margin Management
  • Illustrated ability to drive change in a complex environment and strong ability to
    influence
  • Prior experience with either manufacturing or other relevant industrial experience with
    a Marketing / product portfolio sensibility
  • Experience implementing or managing price or quoting technology
  • Studies in general business, finance, marketing, accounting, data analytics or
    management.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills including proficiency in computer applications
    including Excel, PowerQuery, Power BI, PowerPoint, and
