JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Rehabilitation Services Coordinator is a key member of the Rehab Services team. The coordinator will work under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
The Rehabilitation Services Coordinator is responsible for case management of rehab patients throughout the Amberwell Health System. This includes but is not limited to insurance monitoring, scheduling, managing accounts, and scheduling rehab patients. Receptionist/secretarial duties to support the physical therapy, occupational and speech therapy departments.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The coordinator position will be responsible for the following:
Duties may include but are not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Using applicable software programs and workflows to
- reconcile charges,
- monitor Medicare caps,
- apply occurrence codes,
- open accounts, and
- send business-related correspondence
- Using applicable software programs and workflows
- receive new patient referrals
- schedules patients for therapy over the telephone in a timely manner
- Work closely with the authorization team to monitor authorizations are up to date
- Schedules therapy patients for appointments, coordinating staff availability and schedules accordingly.
- Performs related to clerical work such as typing, filing, faxing, scanning and sorting mail distribution.
- Ensure chart audit on discharged patients is up to date and needed documents are in the EMR.
- Provides administrative and managerial support when needed.
- Manages, stocks and orders office and clinical supplies to ensure adequate supply on hand at all times.
- Answers, assists, and directs incoming telephone calls to appropriate parties in a professional and courteous manner
- Check in and greet all patients in the therapy department for appointment in a professional and courteous manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Able to work as a member of a team and also independently.
- Understand and follow safe work practices.
- Ensure that all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
