Job Description

Basic Purpose

The State Election Board (SEB) is seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated individual for our busy customer assistance representative position.

Typical Functions

Answer telephone and greet visitors in highly visible reception area.

Research printed and electronic files to provide county election board personnel and the public with detailed election administration information.
Use election software system to access voter registration information.
Process incoming mail and electronic correspondence.

File documents and manage records.

Process voter registration and absentee application requests.

Perform a wide range of administrative, clerical, publications, and office support tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Level Descriptor

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years customer service experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies

Experience with Windows 7 and higher operating system.

Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented.

Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
