Embark on a Journey of Impactful Adventure

 

To assist the head coach/director of competitive aquatics and all other swim team coaches to support the delivery of a high quality, safe, inclusive, and competitive swim team program.

What You’ll Do

 

  • With supervision, instructs stroke techniques (in/out of pool) at swim practices as assigned by the supervisor.   
  • Assists other coaching staff in supporting practices, meets and other team activities, keeping the program goals in mind.
  • May maintain records as required (attendance, progress reports, etc.)
  • Actively promotes YMCA Character Development and Core Values.
  • Presents a professional image at all times.
  • Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You'll Need

 

  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Competitive swimming experience or swim instruction experience highly preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate swim stroke techniques
  • Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
  • Any additional certifications as required by the YMCA or USA Swimming
