The CS Facilities Electrical Engineering SPOC (Single Point of Contact) is the primary owner responsible for implementing process transfer, system commissioning and integration safely, and on time per schedule for Power Distribution Systems. Included in their scope is HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) System Ownership and are responsible for the compliance of design with Intel POR and Copy Exactly methodology. They work with the Area Managers and Project Engineers to ensure design includes critical system and operational requirements through collaboration via field walks, working groups and Issued-for-Construction (IFC) design signoffs. The HVM System Owners are responsible for including commissioning-enabling scopes into the system design before the design drawings are issued for construction; by doing so, they ensure commissioning efforts, the operation, and the maintenance of the systems will satisfy all expectations.

The Intel Ohio greenfield Electrical Engineering SPOC responsibilities will also include:
Review and approve all electrical designs supporting the facility, effective collaboration with Project Managers and Project Engineers, architects, engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects.
Review electrical design specifications, submittals, studies and drawings
Possess thorough knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems including transformers, low voltage substations, generators, and UPS systems, ability to review and challenge cost estimates, budgets and ROI analysis.
Knowledge of the latest NEC codes, including life safety and building code, with skills to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
Help maintain the facilities document control system by ensuring electrical as-built drawings are incorporated into the master CAD drawings.
Ensure electrical system model is up to date and all construction specifications, as-builts, O and M manuals and submittals are received after project close out.
Help maintain and organize the document control storage area for fast retrieval of information (drawings, specifications, manuals, etc.). Work closely with Project Engineers, contractors and engineers on project design and close out documentation.
Act as one of Intel's System Owners of the Ohio site's electrical operations and associated distribution system including ensuring quality and consistency of the maintenance of the overall electrical system with an emphasis on the quality of the documentation for that maintenance.
Write and review electrical system operating procedures for equipment isolation, equipment maintenance and the frequency of these procedures.
Model the electrical power distribution system and track changes.
Troubleshoot electrical system problems, conducting breaker coordination and arc flash studies, track electrical load and capacity, utilizing EasyPower system software.
Deliver operational efficiency, maintenance, testing, and commissioning solutions.
Identify, qualify, and implement system upgrades.
Provide technical leadership to 3rd party support.
Respond to power outages and disturbances and lead the recovery effort.
Participate in cross site teams.
Track, trend and analyze electrical system usage utilizing ION power monitoring software.
Some travel and rotational on call weekend engineering support will also be required.
