Period of Appointment

Fixed-term, full-time for a 3-year period (or Term of Government)

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • As the primary point of liaison between the Department and the Office of the Minister regarding the movement of documents, coordinate the flow of documents;
  • Liaise with Departmental and Ministerial staff to ensure the timely preparation of correspondence, briefings, event packages, parliamentary information and other documents for the Minister;
  • Under the guidance of the Director Office of the Secretary implement and evaluate policies, systems and processes to maintain and improve standards of service delivery;
  • Review documents in respect to adherence to the style guide, grammar and fit for purpose content before they are presented to the advisers and/or Minister;
  • Provide guidance, assistance and recommendations to Departmental and Ministerial staff in respect to the preparation and presentation of advice and documentation;
  • Ensure that documents are managed and transmitted in accordance with approved information management systems and requirements;
  • Develop effective networks and sound working relationships that are client focused, proactive and responsive, with a range of stakeholders;
  • Undertake other duties that may be required to assist in the effective and efficient administration of the Minister’s office including attending meetings and events.
