HomeToGo is looking for a Senior Manager VAT. As part of the Tax team, your strategic priority will be to establish, maintain and oversee all group-wide VAT-related processes to ensure our VAT compliance in all operating countries. You will closely collaborate with our central accounting team in Berlin as well as the local management teams of our subsidiaries currently in Europe and the United States to ensure alignment with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with relevant expertise, who shows pragmatism, uses their strong communication skills to easily build internal relationships and has a passion to work in a fast-paced international environment.

• Lead VAT-related projects driven by legislative changes or business initiatives
• Continuously identify and implement improvements in VAT processes, focusing on automation and innovation working with our VAT reporting team
• Consult the group management and the local subsidiaries' management on all VAT-related matters
• Be a sparring partner for product-related VAT compliance questions
• Supervising the VAT filing for all German entities

Overseeing VAT audits

• Have several years of relevant professional experience in the Tax/VAT department of an international corporate company or tax consulting 
• Have successfully completed the German tax advisor exam (a strong plus) 
• Possess strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a result-oriented working style
• Are tech-savvy and motivated to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing international environment
• Are fluent in both English and German
• Have experience with the implementation of a tax compliance management system (a strong plus)
