Job Overview:

Coordinate patient admissions by collaborating with medical staff, updating bed status, and verifying insurance eligibility.

Accurately register patients for inpatient, outpatient, and observation services using phone and faxed information.

Create EMR registrations for regional transfers, update inpatient/observation/level of care statuses, and retrieve imaging for transfers.

Provide back-up support for Wheelchair Van Dispatch and the Critical Regional Transfer Line.

Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and organizational conduct standards; support continuous quality improvement.

Train new staff as a preceptor, participate in third-shift on-call duties, and perform other tasks as assigned.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
Preferred Certification/Licnese/Experience:
- College degree desired.
- Knowledge of health care revenue cycle preferred.
- Understanding of insurance is a plus.
