About the role

The Database Analyst supports the contact center sales and service team with application analysis and reporting. This role involves collaborating with Business Intelligence, Commercial Reporting, and Consumer Sales to ensure accurate data assessment and output.

Essential Functions:

  • Generates and publishes daily, periodic, and ad hoc reports using reporting tools such as SAS, Tableau, Excel, and SQL. 
  • Collaborates with the data warehouse team to maintain knowledge of data warehouse design, definitions, and system capabilities. Ensures integration solutions’ reliability and performance, conducting regular audits to identify improvement areas.
  • Identifies and documents enhancement or defect cases, communicates requirements to programmers, test solutions, and updates test scripts as needed
  • Acts as the primary Medallia application administrator, handling account management, data extracting/loading, vendor relations, training, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Develops SQL/SAS code within SAS Enterprise Guide to execute outbound call campaigns and provides analytical insights into campaign performance.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to execute, maintain, and enhance queries, reports and dashboards using SAS, Tableau, and Excel, providing insights on key performance indicators. Supports special projects as needed.
  • Assists with presentations to senior management and provides application training to user agents as needed.
  • Provides technical support and guidance resolve complex integration issues and troubleshoot problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in information technology or similar data analysis positions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and other relevant technologies (SAS Enterprise Guide, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, SQL Developer) essential for this role

  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and explaining concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Compliance and Legal: Comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures, relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work independently and with diverse teams to build consensus and achieve common goals.

  • Social Skills: Proficient in building relationships and networks and navigating social complexities in the workplace. 
  • Standard Position-related Skills: Good critical thinking, innovative reasoning, time management, and adaptability skills to effectively manage changing priorities with a high level of quality.

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.

Travel: 0- 25% shoreside and shipboard travel likely.

Work Conditions:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. 

This position is classified as “remote.”  As a remote role, it allows employees to work full-time from their home. It may also require regular travel to Carnival headquarters in Miami, FL for in-office collaboration.  Sourcing of candidates is primarily done in Carnival’s remote hubs of Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas.  If the search is extended past those areas, candidates must be located in one of the following U.S. states:  FL, GA, TX and NC
