Job Description
Western Nevada College is recruiting for a Childcare Worker 2 in the Child Development Center. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. The position will supervise teaching aids and is responsible for curriculum and assessments. Other duties include, but are not limited to: ensuring the safety and well-being of the children; provide a safe, healthy, and creative learning environment; assessing children and communicating the assessment with their families; using the assessments for the curriculum plans; providing appropriate childcare for each child; following all requirements, rules, regulations, and laws; and other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications
This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent and two (2) years of experience working with small children in a preschool setting; OR
One (1) year of experience as a Child Care Worker I in Nevada State Service; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
Schedule
The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
