Job Description

We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Market Research/Customer Insight Analyst II to join our Life Intelligence team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE on-site or on a hybrid schedule. 

How you'll help move us forward:

Market Research/Competition

  • Act as subject matter expert in life insurance features and benefits across the industry. 

  • Proactively monitor/research and analyze competitor product filings and launches.

  • Perform competitive reviews of new and existing life products, including the ability to identify their key financial drivers.

  • Create, maintain, and update key competitive intelligence resources (documents, websites, etc.).

  • Benchmarking of competitor illustrated values and features to analyze and communicate product trends.

  • Communicate, both verbally and in writing, actionable insights and trends to our sales teams and senior leadership.

Sales Support

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to understand sales objectives and distribution challenges.

  • Serve as key contact for internal and external wholesalers for competitive positioning of our products.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with key internal stakeholders including sales, product development, distribution, marketing, legal, as well as sales training

  • Develop life competition material, including development and delivery of presentations, for training of sales teams.

  • Communicate, both verbally and in writing, actionable insights and trends to our sales teams and senior leadership.

  • Develop comprehensive business cases for sales and presentation to Senior Management.

  • Throughout the business case development process, effectively interact and coordinate with all departments within the division.

The experience you bring:

  • FINRA Series 6 License.

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years previous experience in the life insurance industry.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations, especially in PowerPoint.

  • Can present complex detail in an easily understandable format.

  • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).

  • Actuarial modeling software (Milliman MG-ALFA, Turbo Actuary).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Self-starter with a growth mind-set focused on continual improvement.

  • Is flexible with the ability to accept and manage change.

  • Thrives as a member of a highly collaborative and cohesive team.
