The team functions as a cohesive unit that prioritizes accountability, collaborative ownership, and clear communication in pursuit of shared goals. We value a product-oriented mindset, thoughtful experimentation, and a user-first approach grounded in data.<br/>We are seeking a backend engineer with a strong product mindset to contribute to the technical direction of the team and help build scalable systems that enable engaging user experiences. This role will focus on JavaScript backend-stack development, with the opportunity to evolve into a full-stack position.<br/><br/> <h3>Our Stack / Tools</h3> <ul> <li>Front-end: React, Typescript, Vue</li><li>Back-end: NodeJS, Python (Flask/FastAPI), PostgreSQL</li><li>Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS, Terraform</li><li>Tools &amp; Monitoring: Datadog, Redis, Linux, Nginx, ZuoraBonus: Figma (Design), CI/CD with Github Actions</li></ul> <h3>What you will do</h3> <ul> <li>Collaborate with a cross-functional team of experienced full-stack engineers, a product manager, and designers.</li><li>Assist in planning, developing, testing, releasing, monitoring, and supporting new customer-facing features built primarily with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and React.</li><li>Participate in pair programming and code reviews to learn best practices and improve your technical skills.</li><li>Work alongside team members to enhance processes, systems, and tools.</li><li>Contribute to outcomes-driven experiments using modern continuous delivery practices and tools.</li><li>Be involved end-to-end in product development, from need exploration and feature ideation to implementation and data analysis, including AI usage for personalizing onboarding experiences.</li><li>Contribute to the team’s medium-term goal of merging three onboarding products into one, involving user migration and exposure to the full technical and product spectrum.</li><br/><br/></ul> <h3>What you will need to succeed</h3> <ul> <li><b>Full-Stack Foundations:</b> </li><li>Ideally around 4 years of experience in front-end and back-end development. Proficient with component-based architectures using React, and back-end development with Node.js or NestJS. Exposure to Python is a plus.</li><li>Testing &amp; Design: Exposure to automated testing frameworks and Design Systems, and an interest in applying testing principles across the full development stack.</li><li>Pragmatic Engineering: A balanced approach to engineering that avoids over-engineering, with a focus on maintaining high-quality code in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.</li><li>Collaboration: A strong appreciation for working closely with Engineering, Product, and Design peers to deliver pixel-perfect, performant, and impactful user experiences.</li><li>Communication: Excellent written communication skills are essential for our distributed team.
