The Azure Managed HSM team is on the lookout for a Principal Software Engineer to help us achieve our vision. Our team is dedicated to creating groundbreaking technologies that empower customers to protect their most valuable assets using some of Azure's most secure hardware infrastructure. Responsibilities

* Technical Leadership: You will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions for the Azure Managed HSM service. This includes driving technical advancements and ensuring the highest standards of security and performance. * Collaboration: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, security, and operations, to deliver high-quality features and improvements. Sharing your experience with other engineers and fostering a collaborative environment is key. * Innovation: You will be responsible for identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the service. This includes staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure Azure Managed HSM remains at the forefront of security and performance. * Mentorship: As a senior member of the team, you will mentor and guide engineers, helping them develop their skills and grow their careers. Embracing a growth mindset and encouraging continuous learning is essential. * Quality Assurance: You will create and execute comprehensive plans for testing and assuring the quality of solutions. This includes defining success criteria for tests, escalating issues as necessary, and sharing insights with the team through retrospectives. * Customer Obsession: You will ensure that the solutions you develop meet the needs of our customers. This involves understanding customer requirements, providing high availability and security guarantees, and continuously improving the service based on customer feedback.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
