The Work You Will Do:
Permits Coordinator I / Manatee Operations Center
This position will assist in the permit process for activities occurring on state roads within Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Perform routine inspections and walk-throughs of permitted sites to ensure work is being done safely and meeting permit requirements. This position will prepare and process permit related information, maintain files, review plans, coordinate meetings and corrective actions.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Makes routine inspections of permitted sites to ensure work is done safely and in accordance with the permit requirements. This may require reviewing plans, referencing permit documentation, and verifying necessary permits.
Coordinate the Utility Permits ensuring compliance with Department procedures, Florida Administrative Code Rules and the Department's Utility Accommodation Manual. This includes, but is not limited to, field related engineering skills, planning, coordinating between customers and other involved parties, processing and administering proper documentation, resolving conflicts and deficiencies, and ensuring all inspections and safety standards are maintained.
Assist and coordinate with the supervisor in the operations of all Access and Drainage Permits ensuring compliance with Department Procedures, Florida Administrative Code Rules and the Department's Utility Accommodation Manual. This includes, but is not limited to, field related engineering skills, planning, coordinating between customers and other involved parties, processing and administering proper documentation, resolving conflicts and deficiencies, and ensuring all inspections and safety standards are maintained.
