JOB SUMMARY:
The Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Retirement Specialist Supervisor. The Retirement Specialist Supervisor provides support and guidance to active member specialists: regarding complex or unusual contribution reporting and adjustment issues, analyzing situations requiring special consideration and recommend appropriate courses of action; coordinates with external stakeholders to manage and oversee the disability determination process; develops, coordinates, and expands educational and training initiatives for members, employers, and local boards to promote understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Reviews work of subordinates for accuracy, compliance, and completeness, providing feedback and corrective guidance s needed; monitors performance metrics and establish methods to measure progress, identify trends, and address areas requiring improvement; mentor and coach department personnel, fostering professional development and a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. Ensure departmental directives, policies, and procedures are followed; monitor timeliness and service-level goals; and address emerging issues in the absence of the department manager.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:- Responsible for training staff in departmental processes. This includes:
- Instructions on membership forms, change forms, and contribution processes.
- Established methods to measure progress and focus on areas of need.
- Mentor department personnel provide coaching that will instill in each staff member with a goal toward self-improvement.
- Prioritize and distribute workload. This includes:
- All membership and change forms, contribution research and adjustments, and any other assignments deemed necessary by the department manager.
- Respond to all members, employers, and local boards concerns via phone, e-mail, and walk-in. Inquiries may include:
