Regional Manager, Reefer Pricing and Procurement

The Regional Manager, Reefer Procurement and Pricing oversees all Reefer Procurement and Pricing efforts in the Region. He/she holds the ultimate responsibility for Pricing major tenders and for ensuring the most efficient and effective set-up of procurement activities between Regional and Local procurement efforts.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure that rates are procured effectively, increasing our success rate when quoting both short- and long-term opportunities, while at the same time maximizing our profit margins
• To negotiate and contract carriers in line with product and carrier strategy 
• To ensure targeted growth is achieved by working with global procurement and regional commercial parties
• To support the country product teams when needed, on larger local accounts and long-term rates.
• To help develop and execute a globally binding procurement strategy with clear split of responsibilities for procurement activities between countries and Global/Regional Reefer Management.
• To ensure effective supplier relationship and participate with regular performance management of carriers
• To drive ad-hoc projects and general product development
  
  Specific Responsibilities:  
• Procure regional rates for short- and long-term reefer opportunities, within the APAC region
• Work with commercial organization and global reefer team, to build and maintain an efficient quotation and procurement procedure.
• Support with Regional Product performance reporting and analysis
• Implement global carrier and procurement policy to support the product strategy
• Partner with Key Countries and Vertical Markets for campaign and business development initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 8-10+ years of experience with Reefer Pricing and Procurement
• Highly developed communications skills
• In depth knowledge of Cold Chain transportation
• Is result oriented and customer focused
• Detail oriented, able to keep multiple separate processes and projects moving.
• Develops long lasting relationships with providers, colleagues and customers
• Self-starter
