Senior Game Backend Developer - Fully Remote

SOFTGAMES is looking for an experienced developer who is passionate about joining SOFTGAMES’s engineering team as Senior Game Backend Developer - Fully Remote. Our engineering team is focusing on building scalable, high-performant, high-quality tools and services that enable our game teams to build and operate their titles for millions of players.

As part of our Game Services team you will enjoy a creative, challenging and collaborative environment.

Your role:

• Maintenance and extension of our existing backend services on AWS

• Planning and development of new services on GCP/Firebase

• Holistic development of services, covering the backend infrastructure, frontend administration, client library and development documentation.

• Development of client and server side functionality using TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js and React

• Deployment of our cloud infrastructure using IaC

• Lean and agile collaboration across multiple teams

Your Profile:

• You are a meticulous developer and expert of writing enterprise software in Node.js

• You have solid experience with infrastructure orchestration and distributed architecture

• You are deeply familiar with AWS and GCP services

• You have experience with common data persistence layers and caching (SQL, NoSQL, Key-Value Stores)

• You have created and maintained APIs using GraphQL and REST

• You are a great architect and always looking for better ways to solve problems

• You continuously improve yourself and enjoy technical discussions

Nice to have:

• Experience with frontend technologies, like React and Redux

• Experience with Docker containers

• Experience with Firebase Firestore and Cloudfunctions

• Experience with Terraform / Terragrunt
