Community Service Position offered through the Federal Work Study Program.
Tutoring Instructors are responsible for managing a classroom of students and facilitating an environment that supports studying. Instructors are expected to know the academic progress of each student in their classroom and will work with the Tutoring Director to assist each student in their academic journey. Each instructor will decide the structure of his or her classroom so long as it maintains a productive environment and must also maintain disciplinary standards.
Duties include but are not limited to the following
• Facilitating a learning environment
• Assisting students academically
• Checking homework completion
• Utilizing volunteers to tutor one on one
• Maintaining Discipline and classroom structure
• Communicating with Director of Tutoring about students’ progress
• Prepping materials students will need each day
• Act as an encourager for all students
Must be Federal Work Study Eligible.
Position is located off campus; students must find transportation to work.
