Overview

Security Specialist (C80-2025-23046): 

 

Bowhead seeks a Security Specialist to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Detachment. The contract supports business services in support of Code 80 and other organizations associated with or sponsoring the NSWCCD. The business services include Program Management and Planning, Finance, Logistics, Security, Space Planning, Safety, Administrative Services, Technical Editing, Records Management, and Computer Engineering and IT support.

 

 

Responsibilities

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

 

• Man security office
• Working Hours 8:00-4:30pm
• Communicate with visitors and verify credentials, while maintaining a visitor’s log
• Monitor CCTV security system during the day
• Provide Escort duties when Government is unavailable
• Training with Lenel Security Access Management system
• Program and Pin Badges
• Experience with Base Information Tracking System including Archival Storage of Unclassified data
• Inventory Management of Security Unclassified Data

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required
• Three to five (3-5) years professional experience supporting a Navy customer/facility
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently have a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
