Join our highly qualified staff and together, let’s shape the future of the packaging world. We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician (FST), Mechanical, for the SPO/ Flexo product line. The FST provides timely and efficient machine repairs and installations primarily for customers. This individual will serve as the front-line representative for the BOBST product range.- 90% TRAVEL REQUIRED – Candidates must have flexibility to travel extensively throughout US and Canada. Ideal candidate located within 1 hour from a major international airport.
Principle Responsibilities:
Machine Service (mechanical) & electrical, including the repair and installation of new machines, relocation of existing equipment, customer training, preventative maintenance, ordering parts necessary to perform installations and repair, troubleshooting problems and proactively recommend the necessary service and maintenance programs.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the packaging industry or finishing converting industry working as a mechanic on Bobst die-cutter or similar equipment
- Background in mechanical engineering
- Diagnosing faults and make recommendations in customer environment.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong analysis skills and attention to detail
- Independent, responsible work style
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Fluency with metric system
- Technical school or college related to mechanics, hydraulics, technology science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering
In good faith and in alignment with current market data, the base salary for this position is estimated to range between $70,000 and $80,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for:
