About the role

Pharmacy Informaticist


Omnicell has an exciting opportunity for an individual to help our clients maximize their outcomes, create differentiated value, and improve efficiency as part of Omnicell’s Customer Success Analytics team. The individual is responsible for defining, developing, and delivering expert consultative services as part of our Advanced Service offerings utilizing a suite of data, tools, and software.

 

To accomplish this, the Pharmacy Informaticist must be a highly experienced, motivated individual with a proven record of achievement in helping customers realize success with technology and/or expert service solutions, while providing operational and clinical insights that can be extended into the pharmacy and hospital or health system.

 

The individual will work fully remote work and will report to the Customer Success Analytics Pharmacy Informaticist Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Planning and Implementation: Assist internal teams as well as new customers on the setup, configuration, and optimization of their Advanced Services solutions.
  • Establish Best Practices: Work cross-functionality within the Customer Success organization to establish best practices for the setup, configuration, optimization, and operation of our technology and software. 
  • Value Demonstration and Insights: Create reports, analytics, and tools to help demonstrate product and service program success, identify strategic opportunity for improvement, and measure customer health and outcomes.
  • New Product Development Support: Provide subject matter expertise to our Product and Engineering teams as they develop new, differentiated solutions.

  • High comfort level managing multiple projects simultaneously 
  •  Work collaboratively with internal teams as well as customers to maximize the full value of solutions across the health system 
  • Develop and credibly deliver management-level presentations regarding the health and efficiency of our Advanced Service offering
  • Operationalize medication management best practices to ensure consistent and sustainable results for internal team members as well as customers using the solution
  • Ability to work collaboratively at multiple levels of the organizations both internally and externally.
  • Critical thinker who can be a translator for clinical domain expertise to technical or business teams to develop customer solutions and outcomes
  • The ability to work with advanced systems, create reports, and uncover and solve potential technical issues.
  • Must have the ability to interact in a team, collaborate, share knowledge, and communicate clearly. 

 

Basic Qualifications  (meet one of the following):

 

  • BS in Healthcare-related field and 4 years’ experience in pharmacy informatics and data analysis
    Or, 
  • MS in Health or Biomedical Informatics and 2 years' experience in pharmacy informatics and data analysis

And (meet one of the following): 

  • PharmD and 1 year experience in hospital-based pharmacy practice with job duties and/or completed project work in pharmacy informatics and data analysis
    Or,  
  • PharmD with hospital-based pharmacy informatics experience and completion of a PGY1, or PGY2 residency
    Or, 
  • PharmD with hospital-based pharmacy informatics experience and completion of a 1-year fellowship training

 

Preferred Requirements:

 

  • 3+ years of experience within a hospital-based pharmacy or pharmacy consulting
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmacy informatics and data analysis
  •  Healthcare license for associated degree
  • Demonstrable knowledge of pharmacy operations
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting hospital quality and safety metrics
  • Advanced computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite and code-based programming, such as SQL, R, Python, or Scala
  • Experience with data visualization creation and design using BI platforms, such as Tableau, QlikSense, or PowerBI

 

Work Conditions:

 

  • Remote, work from home / home office
  • Travel: Minimal: Up to 10%
