Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to support the clinical operations at our Eastlake/Coronado Clinic (San Diego, CA). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, patient-centered environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality care while supporting a collaborative clinical team. We are particularly interested in RNs with backgrounds in ICU, hospital, or other acute care settings, as these experiences bring valuable clinical insight and readiness to lead in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position, scheduled for 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary based on assigned clinic location, Monday through Friday. This role will be based primarily in our San Gabriel Valley clinic but may also provide support to other nearby locations. The ideal candidate is adaptable and enjoys collaborating across multiple sites to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Procedures & Diagnostic Testing:
- Perform a variety of allergy and asthma testing procedures, including:
- Allergy skin testing
- Spirometry, DLCO, and fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO)
- Mannitol challenges
- Drug challenges
- Food challenges
- Emergency Response & Treatment Administration
- Assist in the treatment of anaphylaxis, including:
- Administration of injectable epinephrine
- IV fluids (ensuring this skillset is proficient)
- Oxygen and nebulized medications
- Administer intravenous medications and infusions, (In accordance with the California Board of Registered Nursing scope-of-practice guidelines) including:
- IVIG
- Monoclonal antibody therapies
- Clinical Oversight & SOP Implementation:
- Oversee the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all areas of clinical care, including:
- Allergy immunotherapy (injections)
- Skin testing protocols
- Food and drug challenge protocols
- Oral immunotherapy (OIT) treatments
- Maintain and manage staff training logs and ensure protocol compl
