Summary:
In this role, you will serve as the primary connection between our customers and sales team, playing a key role in delivering timely, accurate, and solutions‑driven support across the entire order lifecycle. You will manage customer inquiries, prepare quotations, process orders, and oversee fulfillment—ensuring every interaction reflects a high standard of service and clear, proactive communication.
The ideal candidate is customer‑centric, exceptionally organized, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment. You are comfortable navigating multiple systems, managing competing priorities, and consistently delivering a responsive, positive customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries and provide an exceptional customer experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers.
- Provide timely, accurate information regarding orders, products, pricing, shipments, invoices, and general service questions
- Proactively follow-up on leads based on days of supply.
- Oversee quote development to ensure fast, efficient customer turnaround.
- Enter and maintain orders, review purchase details, track fulfillment, and manage changes or expedited requests to ensure on-time delivery.
- Develop and discuss potential inventory strategies and long-term business strategies.
- Monitor customer inventory targets, percentage of business, and days of supply.
- Understand customer needs to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Prepare and process any necessary shipping documentation.
- Maintain procure-to-pay and supplier-management platforms as needed by our customers.
- Work closely with the marketing and outside sales teams to support campaigns and follow up on marketing leads
- Share market insights and provide customer feedback with the Customer Service Team to improve strategies.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding delays, changes, or service updates.
- Participate in training, system upgrades, and cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software tools.
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years or more related experience.
- Proficient with JD Edwards or similar ERP software a plus.
- Experience with paper machine equipment or OEM manufacturing a plus.
- A technical school or college level degree or equivalent experience desired.
