Position Overview

The Business Analyst serves as a critical execution partner for Corporate Field Operations, supporting the successful implementation of systems and workflows that enhance client service, operational efficiency, and compliance in our field offices. This role works closely with the Corporate Field Operations team and collaborates with stakeholders across business units, IT, and carrier partners to ensure solutions align with both strategic and tactical goals in the field.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to drive efficiency, quality, and actionable insights by analyzing and documenting workflows and processes, defining and tracking business requirements, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), The Business Analyst role spans horizontally across our entire organization, providing the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that directly impact field operations enterprise-wide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Corporate Field Operations and field office leaders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.

  • Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and consistency across field operations.

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and system requirements for technology teams and vendor partners.

  • Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that solutions meet business objectives and deliver intended value.

  • Support the rollout of new systems, tools, and workflows, including documentation, training materials, and adoption support for field staff.

  • Monitor post-implementation performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Develop process maps, business cases, and reporting tools to support decision-making and operational oversight.

  • Serve as a liaison between field operations, IT, carrier partners, and other business units to ensure alignment and clear communication.

  • Assist with change management initiatives by helping field users adapt to new processes and technologies.

  • Stay current on industry best practices, insurance regulatory requirements, and operational trends that may impact field operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role, preferably within insurance, brokerage, or financial services.

  • Strong knowledge of insurance brokerage operations and workflows (policy servicing, billing, claims, compliance, client management).

  • Experience with Agency Management Systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360), CRM platforms, or other insurance technology systems preferred.

  • Proven ability to gather, document, and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and reporting/analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).

  • Insurance-related certifications/designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM, AINS) are a plus.
