We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Operations and Competitive Intelligence Lead to join the Equitable Marketing team. This role is pivotal in driving informed decision-making, optimizing marketing processes, and enhancing our competitive position in the market. In addition, this role will ensure Marketing operates at the highest level of performance and efficiency. This will be achieved through a focus on strategic operational excellence, optimization of processes for continuous improvement enhanced efficiency across workflows and fostering innovation. The role also leads critical functions such as vendor partnerships, and platform governance.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Build a competitive intelligence discipline and integrate it throughout Marketing to drive informed decisions through marketing planning and execution

• Adopt continuous learning through the study of direct and nontraditional competitors such as emerging startups and cross industry competitors to draw out insights that will enable Equitable to defend and grow its market position

• Build a lead generation discipline leveraging CRM (Salesforce) to study Marketing attribution and effectiveness

• Optimize Martech stack and dataflow and present of key findings across lines of business

• Inform optimization of Marketing tactics through tracking and analysis to funnel metrics

• Spearhead management and ongoing development of workflow tools with a lens of process improvement and efficiency of Marketing planning and integrated execution

• Lead piloting and scaling of AI for Marketing effectiveness and efficiency

• Partner with other Marketing team members to align focus through their business/marketing strategies and ensure the allocation of resources from the Marketing Operations team

• Foster an environment of continuous improvement through challenging status quo of current processes and empowering team members to formulate solutions

• Manage procurement functions for the experiential marketing team to ensure smooth approval process and timeline on-boarding of vendor or tool

• Oversee vendor relationships, manage contracts, ensure vendors align with marketing strategies and deliver quality services

The total targeted compensation range for this position is $307,000 - $430,000. Total compensation varies based on skills, experience, geographical location and other factors.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of marketing, lead generation and CRM technology platforms including proficiency with Salesforce and Adobe platforms.

• Track record of executing strategy-informing competitive intelligence

• Effective at communicating with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.

• Ability to see the bigger picture, align operations with business objectives, and make high-level strategic decisions.

• Track record of transformation and innovation.

• Understanding and knowledge of external market operational processes and ability to identify pain points and bottlenecks within our own processes

• Experience delivering project from end-to-end, and demonstrated knowledge of operations

• Strong ability to align operational activities with broader business and marketing strategies.

• Ability to identify challenges, propose solutions, and drive innovation.

• Flexibility to adjust processes and workflows as priorities or challenges evolve.

• Proven experience in marketing operations, competitive intelligence, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
