What you'll be doing

 

• Overseeing daily operations and performance of all database environments.
• Managing database provisioning, upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of database systems.
• Collaborating with infrastructure, application, and security teams to align database strategies with business goals.
• Driving automation and standardization across database platforms.
• Mentoring and developing the DBA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Monitoring and reporting on database health, usage, and compliance.
• Leading incident response and root cause analysis for database-related issues.
• Staying current with emerging database technologies and recommending improvements.

 

What you'll bring along

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in managing enterprise database environments, including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing technical teams.
• Deep understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, PostgreSQL Certified Professional) are a plus.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
