Job Summary:

The Senior Front-end Engineer will be responsible for helping us build the next generation technology platform that will run Accuserve’s operations. As a front-end engineer, you will be responsible for design and implementation across multiple technology platforms at Accuserve. Candidates will be expected to have experience with React, HTML, CSS/Sass, and JavaScript/TypeScript. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to translate user requirements into functional front-end interfaces.


The ideal candidate will also have experience with or the capacity to learn React Native to help maintain Accuserve’s Mobile Inspection application. Front-end tech lead or architect experience is desirable, but not necessary.

This position is fully remote, but the Accuserve technology team is primarily based in the greater Boston area. Limited travel may be required.


General Responsibilities:

  • Work with operations to understand workflows and design efficient UI solutions through an iterative process
  • Advise on and implement front-end architecture, standards, and design patterns
  • Participate in technical discussions on framework selection, code optimization, and performance improvements
  • Review code, provide feedback, and ensure quality standards are met
  • Design, develop, and support highly scalable, responsive web applications and services
  • Participate on the implementation of a front-end testing solution
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and tested code
  • Other duties as assigned



Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering using React.JS, HTML, CSS/Sass, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • At least 1 year of experience developing in an agile environment
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing and using RESTful APIs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Desirable:

Experience building mobile-friendly and mobile native applications using React

Experience with build and deploy process on both Android and iOS

Full stack experience using Java, Spring, MSSQL and C#.

Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance space, or insurtech sector

Salary Description $130,000-$160,000/year
