We are currently looking to hire a Chief of Security (Executive Protection & Global Operations) to join our team embedded with our client in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Miami, Florida.
*This position allows for remote work arrangements from within the United States. The position requires extensive travel involving accompanying and supporting the Principal during international and domestic trips. This position requires candidates to be located within a 2-3 hour direct flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with preference given to applicants in the Northeastern, Southeastern, and Southwestern United States (including Texas).
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly experienced, discreet, and strategic Chief of Security to oversee and execute all aspects of personal and operational security for an entrepreneurial Tech CEO with a fast-paced, high-visibility global lifestyle. This role requires hands-on executive protection, extensive global travel (often with short notice), and strategic oversight of security operations in complex and dynamic environments.
The ideal candidate is a bilingual (Spanish/English) elite professional with a background in executive protection, military, intelligence, or law enforcement, and can anticipate and neutralize risks across diverse geographies. You will serve as the CEO’s trusted security advisor and primary operator, reporting directly to the CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide armed close protection to the CEO during all travel, public/media appearances, and personal activities—both domestic and international.
- Lead and manage the CEO’s comprehensive security strategy, including threat intelligence, situational awareness, and emergency response.
- Conduct advance work and site assessments for all locations and events, including venue security reviews, secure transportation coordination, and contingency planning.
- Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders and outside details on logistics and operations for public appearances, media/entertainment events, and large gatherings
- Maintain and operate within all local and international laws regarding armed protection, including proper licensing, permits, and regulatory compliance.
- Interface with venue security, corporate teams, and local law enforcement as needed to ensure seamless protective coverage.
- Continuously monitor global threat landscapes and provide real-time intelligence and risk updates to the CEO.
- Conduct security and threat assessment audits of residential and commercial client-owned properties and define and implement a plan for the improvement of security measures per site.
- Manage and oversee third-party or contract security personnel as required.
- Protect both physical and digital vulnerabilities through coordination with cybersecurity and operations teams.
- Maintain the highest levels of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8–15+ years of experience in executive protection, special operations, federal law enforcement, or intelligence services.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
