Senior Embedded Software Engineer

In this role, a typical day will include:
Working with internal and external stakeholders to solicit needs and requirements. Analysis of system-level requirements and contribution to software requirements and other software documentation.
Collaborating effectively with local and overseas cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
Being methodical, well-organized, thorough and detailed oriented.
Being a team player with a positive attitude, collaborative, dedicated, makes things happen.
EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of hands-on embedded software development experience
Experience in developing embedded software for medical devices
Experience with implementing Object Oriented designs in C++
Experience with RTOS based applications and designing multi-threaded applications
Experience with CAN and Ethernet
Experience with waveform generation, transducer signal sampling, motor control and other electro-mechanical control
Understanding of electronic circuitry: board bring up and interfacing with on and off chip peripherals such as SPI, UART, I2C, ADC’s and DAC’s
Experience in using lab equipment (logic analyzers, in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes and DVMs) to debug and troubleshoot designs
Experience developing test cases in C++ GTest, GMock framework
Experience using Git
Experience in working in a Continuous Integration (CI) environment
Team player, positive attitude, collaborative, dedicated, makes things happen.
Experience with .NET and Python application development is a plus.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
