We’re looking for a Vistal Restaurant Manager to support the Food and Beverage Director and Assistant Food and Beverage Director in ensuring the achievement of established food and beverage quality and guest service quality standards.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Drive restaurant performance by monitoring key restaurant metrics such as average check, covers per hour, meal period performance etc.
- Work closely with both Food and Beverage Director and Assistant Food and Beverage Director to achieve financial goals. Communicate challenges clearly in an anticipatory manner. Execute tactics in a timely manner.
- Support and drive compliance with brand standards, including Forbes recommendations. Daily pre-shifts to include service standards as well as key hotel information. Completion of training and quality of compliance to be regularly audited.
- Ensure all staff is properly trained on quality and service standards and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions. Inform F&B leadership in a proactive manner when uniform, equipment, or facility deficiencies are noted.
- A robust new-hire on-boarding program and supplemental regular training to be well-maintained.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include Sales and Marketing, Rooms, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Guest Services.
- Interact with regularly with guests and restaurant employees to maintain regular presence, set the tone by leading by example regarding training expectations.
- Will serve regularly as Manager on Duty. Will directly supervise Restaurant Supervisor and manage schedules for Vistal Restaurant team. Support other outlets as directed when coverage is needed.
- Ensure elevated wine service and maintain regular wine and beverage training occur with service team.
- Achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Inspect facilities daily, ensuring proper sound, lighting, cleanliness is constant.
- Prioritize elevating the guest experience, raise awareness of hotel Breakfast, Dinner Medallia scores.
- Ensure a high level of VIP and IHG Loyalty Recognition in the food and beverage operations.
- Lead by example by directing the day-to-day activities and assignments of food and beverage staff, ensure proper coverage, actively participate in developing departmental strategies and goals, and assign/prioritize work. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures with all staff.
- Ensure that all food and beverage equipment are in proper operational condition through daily inspection and communication to relevant departments or leaders who can assist with said maintenance.
What we need from you:
Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field plus 4+ years related experience, including management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must speak fluent English.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
- Moving about the facilities
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Handling food, objects, products, and utensils
- Bending, stooping, kneeling
Other:
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
What you can expect from us:
The annual pay range for this role is $75,000-$85
